El aire que viene de lejos, tras cruzar mil millas de océano, pasa con suavidad entre el follaje del bosque insular. Cálido, amable y constante, el viento eleva el sonido de las olas y lo lanza al aire, lo hace girar y torcerse, los suaves golpes del mar bajo la luna. Las estrellas titilan entre las palmeras, mientras los grillos, con su coro casi imperceptible, van cosiendo la canción de la noche. La tranquilidad y el calor de este entorno aislado invitan a una introspección serena y ofrecen un respiro frente al ajetreo de la vida urbana. La noche se siente plena y sirve para evocar el ánimo creativo de la medianoche a cualquier hora del día. Esta pieza es pura atmósfera, sin detalles en primer plano ni distracciones, ideal para trabajar, leer o estudiar. Equatorial Midnight consists of the exact same elements as the older track Moonlight - wind, rustling palm fronds, waves and crickets. Both tracks also are ambient noise only with no foreground. But, the focus here is night noise where Moonlight is more about white noise. Here, it sounds more like the recording was set in the forest than the beach itself, with the crickets much more prominent than in Moonlight (though not at all overpowering). In general, the sense of a total environment is stronger in this track due to the fact that each of the sonic elements is much more distinct than in Moonlight. In Moonlight they tend to blend together unless you deliberately try to focused on one. There is also a strong sense of depth and space here, with ascending layers of waves (sounding from somewhere blow and distant), crickets surrounding you, palms rustling above, and the wind alone above that. This track also seems to be good for masking noise, and makes it one of the few such tracks that does feature complex detail rather than focusing mainly on one sonic element, such as wind or water.
