Zen Riverbell
By Naturespace · 20 reviews ·
Long, deep, low bell strikes and sparse chimes infused with winding river pathways induce a meditative state that spills into the mind. Cyclical and hypnotic, the low tones require headphones or speakers that reproduce low bass. A subwoofer fills the room with sound. Don’t listen too loud, the realism is lessened. Low listening levels only.

If you use Naturespace for daytime meditation or studying, you need this track. The sound of the water moving from left to right is absolutely hypnotic, but won't distract you from your task. Birds keep the track lively, and very low bells calm your mind. Several reviewers commented on the loudness of the water and birds, but the combination of sounds is perfect for me. The longer you listen, the more obvious the bells are. I find that loud bells put me on edge, so I prefer that they are in the background anyway. The running stream in this track seems different from the water in other tracks. This water is very creamy, deep, and soft, and I absolutely love it! It's like a dessert for my ears. If you like this track, check out the other Abstract tracks like Zen Wind and Water, and Astral Garden.
This track is a babbling brook, with midday birds and low tones in the background. If what you are wanting is a crystal bowl track then Astral Garden is a better choice. That track has mostly tones with the other features very low. I purchased this track because Riverwind Dreaming is not quite right for me. The tones in that are too overbearing, this one is just right. It gives me the water sound I want and a nice solitude kind of vibe to it. There are also very faint bells in the background. It's a good complement to the Zen Wind track which has a similar vibe with wind chimes. Neither of the Zen tracks are relaxing, they are mentally stimulating which makes them excellent for mindfulness and visualisation meditations. The fact that the water moves from ear to ear in this track tells you what it's for, focusing.
I guess i am only after tracks for sleeping and rest at night so this doesnt fit my bill.. Lotsa birds, babbling water and very quiet (too quiet) bells. Good for an early morning riser i would think..
This tune is one of my favorite to de-stress to. Low tones almost feel like the heartbeat of the Earth while the birds song takes the stress away and helps you recharge. Typically I wake up refreshed and ready to tackle any task set before me.
This one definitely needs earphones for optimal listening. The birds are active....like being in a rainforest. The water is almost hypnotic, around and around in swirls, as if you're standing in the middle of it. Beautiful but very low bells. Nice for a relaxing 10 minute break, but maybe not for sleeping as the birds are too 'active'.
I love the sound of chimes and deep bells as one often finds in 'zen'-type sounds or music; but deep tonal bells most of all. While Zen Riverbell's sister track Zen Wind and Water has an excellent balance between the chimes and the water/wind sounds, I just wish that the birds and the water in Zen Riverbell were a bit lower, so that the deep bell sounds were more predominant. However this doesn't subtract from the overall sound of the track, which has an intensely focusing effect as deep tonal sounds usually do. I listen to it at lower levels as I find that the bird/water sounds are less overpowering when it's softer. But I do wish that deep background bell was a deep foreground bell and the flowing water & chirps were moreso background. Anyway - if you liked the other Zen sounds track, chances are you'll like this one too.
Out of all of the tracks that I have bought this has to be the best so far. The water is literally flowing around you from left to right in a perfect circle. Even though I am not a big bird fan, I still would recommend this amazing track to any person that meditates for long periods of time.
The birds and water is nice, water runs little fast. I really like the background noise of what sounds like a humming, or a bong sound. It needs to be louder, it seems very soft now? Anyways great recording.
This one is fantastic! The water moves around, and at times it feels like it's in front of your face. Great work on this one. Truly holographic audio.
The water sounds are excellent seeming to move from side to side as you listen. Almost creating a swaying feeling in my mind and body the low tones are soothing and hypnotic never jarring, they hold the note for the perfect measure of time leading into the next tone which differs from the former slightly. Be aware there are MANY BIRDS in this track. Were it not for that this would be the perfect meditation track ever made, as it is it is very relaxing and nice to study to.
The only category that has tracks with tonalities is here, in the Abstract category. Sci-Fi is also obviously not pure natural sound, but sound design. All other categories are tonality free, and their natural purity is unaltered and pristine. The entirety of the Naturespace catalog is pure natural sound, with the exception of the Abstract and Sci-fi categories.
Item as described - beautiful and very relaxing. It's actually much better than I expected.
Beautiful. Enjoy your meditation.
A babbling brook swirls around you, not unlike in the Brainwash track. Birds sing happily in every direction. The activity of the scene is contrasted with the peaceful vibrations of the Zen bells. A nice, more organic alternative to the tracks with tones, for those who are iffy about the idea of synthesizers.
This is the best track ever!!!! I listen to it every night. It is a nice water and bird track that will take you to paradise with the slight music at the right points, this is truly one of the best tracks(opinion of course!!)
This recording is the most amazing sound I have heard in a very long time....truly relaxing, makes me smile....thank you.....I love your app, and plan to be a long time user
I wasn't so sure about this one at first.. But wow, I'm addicted. I love the subtle sound of the zen bell (beautiful touch). I use this to sleep on the bus to work, and in 45 min. Ive had an amazing nap! This track takes me into a dream state very very quickly. Love it!
I think this is extremely peaceful and very relaxing. I like to listen to this one as low as my volume can go, then at that level it's perfect. The water flows in a circle around you. The birds are very happy little guys, not distracting in the least. I find they add balance and an uplifting mood. Nicely done. Beautiful and serene. Easy to fall asleep to.
It's got birds. I hate bird sounds. And the gurgling water sound slowly revolves around the stereo spread and is distracting. The low gongs/chimes are nice. Ditch the birds and stop the revolving water and it's great. Otherwise, not my thing.
When they say zen, they mean it. Long, resonating bell tones ring and overlap, creating a deeply intoned inner space. A gentle river winds down a long hillside, the sound of the gurgle/babble shifting from the left ear to the right ear and back again cyclically, but always moving forward. Birds are in the background, a happy and uplifting sound that lends the impression of a spring or summer day. Very good for going into the Alpha State of Consciousness. I’m feeling brain fuzziness while typing and listening at the same time. Important: DO NOT LISTEN TO WHILE DRIVING!!! DO NOT OPERATE HEAVY MACHINERY!!! Deep and very meditative over the earbuds. Reminiscent of a distant Buddhist monastery or sanctuary over speakers – but the water sounds more fountain-like than river-like.
