The Imaginarium

Seductive, wandering shadows of warm moonlight shimmer beneath black velvet clouds that rumble and crack into the invisible sky, randomly flickered and teased with voltage. The trees glow in the electrified air, charged with magic as the rites of summer converge and sweeten into a dark and mystical energy that causes quite a stir. The creatures are fascinated with the forest as the fog snakes its way, like dragon's breath, and envelops the night in its sugary mist. The air is dense, and there is something moving around you. The occasional feeling of being watched rises surreptitiously like a forgotten dream, a déjà-vu of things yet to come. It has all been foretold, but the story is unclear now, as memories twist into fantasy. Who is the protagonist here? It can't be you, you are just a visitor. But which of these shadows belong to the clandestine, who appear to move this night? And who, dare you ask, are they hunting? The premonition tingles your skin just as the rain begins to poke holes in the mist and strike the emerald leaves. The quail are on edge, waiting to take flight en masse at the slightest hint of threat. But you are not one to get nervous so easily; you have more than one trick up your sleeve. Still, it's probably best not to light a fire, there's no need to invite trouble. This epic track is long, dynamic, constantly changing, and is intended for the advanced listener who seeks the journey. There is a great deal of mysterious wildlife activity. The environment is mostly benevolent and dreamy with consistent thunder and very sparse raindrops, adding a dark and cinematic drama to the narrative. There is a lot of movement going on around you, including near to you, as branches crack under the unknown. Verging on the primordial, yet hauntingly both familiar and strange, this track brings out the brave spirit within you. Even if that is a Sasquatch.

Is the imagamarium recorded in Australia? I’m at Ferndale on holiday and I hear these same sounds. Amazing!
My hands down favourite track. This one really is a bit of an adventure but not in any way scary. There's just a strange kind of intrigue to it that keeps you hanging in there listening for the next unexpected thing. There are layers to this one. So saying that, I have anxiety and strangely enough this is one of the most soothing tracks I've purchased. Right up there with gurgling water and ocean waves. I love doing my evening meditation to this one. The thunder rolls across the sky and I can almost feel it shaking out all my anxious thoughts from the day. This is one I never get sick of listening to. Totally unique in the nature track category as it's a bit like listening to a fairytale.
All I can say is, this track is in chanting, I listen to this while meditating on the morning of the summer solstice, and had an amazing experience, well done nature space, you've done it again, thank you
Very good and mysterious 💫💫💫💫💫
I've been listening to this track for a while now, and I like it. The rain is soft and at times picks up the pace. Bird calls are pleasant, while other animal calls can be heard in the distance. There is a lot of activity in the brush in front of you, while the occasional flying insect whizzes by. Intermittent thunder rumbles softly overhead although intense at times. I hear a buzzing which could be a microphone picking up the lightening strikes. I hear strange cries and howls. This track definitely takes the imagination to some interesting places. There's even a strange animal screech to the left and a ferocious growl to the right of you ... what the heck was that?! Was that a bear or coyote? The faint human voices I hear from a far, do they know what lurks beyond? LOL
The Imaginarium has tremendous atmosphere and colour. Wind, falling raindrops, deep thunder, insects, birds, far off human calls, assorted rustlings, and one soft chuckle echoing from the depths, combine to create a kind of narrative arc for the imagination. There are also unrecognizable sounds that make you take notice adding to the subtle mysteriousness of the whole experience. Through headphones, the sound stage has tremendous depth and is extremely detailed, with sounds occurring from close proximity to the extreme distance, and a very wide left to right spread. This is one of the best recordings in the collection. It is distinctive in that it tells a kind of story and is more than just a great recording of specific nature sounds. The overall effect is surprisingly soothing, yet always interesting. I use it to fall asleep and it seems to stimulate dreams and my ability to remember them. Highly recommended!
One of my top 5 tracks. I LITERALLY listen to it before bed, to help me fall asleep. If I focus enough on this track, I always hear something new.
This is a fabulous journey track. My once vivid imagination (dulled by years of corporate drudgery) took me by surprise by leaping into action within a few immersive moments. The rolling thunder and occasional eerie animal calls are perfection. A firm favourite.
Oh my goodness!!!!!! The other reviewers have described this track well - very long, spaciouse and close to perfect in its balance of relaxation / mystery. There are some "wow" moments that really sold me on the track. First, was the fly that flew around my head. You can actually hear it move through your headphones as it goes foe left to right AND in front and behind! The second incredible moment were the very distant human voices. There is something jarring about them. When I listen, I always imagine that I am in a forest at night. All alone and hidden. I feel safe knowing that I can't be scene; yet, every new rustle makes my imaginary eyes try and pierce the darkness to get a glimpse of what animal is near. Brings me back to playing "find the counselor" at camp during the night. Thank you Naturespace!
This is my favourite track, the sounds are very soft, some times for me crickets at night can be very high pitched and and annoying when trying to sleep. Here they are soft as is the rain and thunder. I love the deep birds sounds I am a fan of owl sounds and hoots and there is plenty in this track. Love this one A+
Beautiful. Perfect for sleep and those times in the early morning when you'd rather be asleep. Overall, I highly recommend!
Absolutely fantastic. I can almost feel the breeze on my face. Naturespace provides another winner. I love this app!!!
Although all Naturespace tracks are skillfully recorded, only a few of the new tracks this year have really stood out to me as instant favorites so far. This is one of them, and beyond that, it's unique in the entire catalogue. This is like spending the evening in a primeval forest teeming with all kinds if creatures. That might make it sound busy, but it's not. Everything is so well spaced and paced, set against a calm yet tense background of distant rumbling thunder and crickets/frogs somewhat like the track Loki. Perfectly interspersed throughout are various wildlife sounds, heard anywhere from very close to just barely within hearing range. This lends an air of mystery - what kind of creature was that? Many of sounds are unexpected. But, as unexpected as it is, it's never jarring. Also, though it's hard to say for sure since the track loops seamlessly, I could swear this one is at least a full half hour in length, and seemingly infinite if you let your imagination go. But one request if I may: The brief interlude of what sounds like very distant coyotes makes me continue to wish for a night track where occasional coyote calls are a feature (more distant and ambient than the Wolves), and maybe a light wind through dry desert brush... Naturespace, please explore the deserts and canyons of the southwest, we have sounds here!
I grabbed this track almost as soon as it showed up in the New Release notification in the app, and it's been on almost non-stop since I got it. It's a well- rounded nice, long complex track with lots happening. This is definitely a warm-weather recording, the barking robins and humming insects as they fly past are a nice touch - they make me SO ready for warmer weather.. Can winter be over now? At least in my bedroom here tucked under rhe duvet with the Imaginarium running, for a little while, it is. If you're ready for a bit of a mental pick up, this track is the cure for the winter blahs. Just a tip-top effort, thanks Naturespace!
This track is really well done, and the description of it really sets the mood and captures it very well. Sometimes serene, sometimes a little ominous (with thunder and a strange animal noise here and there), this is a really nice track for evoking a contemplative yet relaxed mood. The changes don't come at you right away, but rather I feel like I'm eased into them. There's a lot of depth here. Thanks Naturespace!
