夜の歌に包まれ、目に見えぬものたちは気配のままに動き、彼らだけが辿れる道をさまよう。夜に生きるものたちは、隠されたつながりや見えないパターンと響き合う、並外れた力を備えている。その営みは繊細に結び合い、互いを結ぶ気づきの網をかたちづくる。17年の周期を生きる存在にとって、空間と時間は異なる相で流れ、その律動は太古の森にこだまし続ける――移ろいながら、どこか懐かしく。キリギリスの声が群れを整え、せわしない奏者たちを導く指揮者のように響き渡る。その律動はやがて恍惚としたうねりとなり、脈打ちながら広がり、場に満ちる同調の流れの中で、すべてを悠久の時の夢へとやさしく結び合わせていく……終わりなき歌。その内を巡る、見えざるものたちとともに。 同調（エントレインメント）とは、身体のリズムが環境のパターンと自然に響き合い、やがてひとつに調っていくこと。本作は、森が紡ぐ本来のグルーヴへと深く没入させるために構成された長編トラック。スピーカーでは安らかな眠りへと導く穏やかな空気を生み、ヘッドフォンでは持続する集中を静かに支えます。音の層には無数の気配が織り込まれ、カエル、コオロギ、キリギリス、ヨタカ、コウモリが、広がりのある距離感の中でリスナーの周囲を巡る。そして森の奥底では、静謐な調和がひとつの響きとして息づいている。 この作品は、他のどの夜とも異なる、この場所ならではの稀有で穏やかな調和の重なり――すべてが静かに呼応し合う宵――を捉えるために、数か月にわたる録音から生まれた。

I love noise generator apps. I alternate between Naturespace and myNoise to focus on tasks, but I use Naturespace when I go to go to bed every night. I’ve used Naturespace for years, and all I’ve ever wanted is a katydid track. Katydids are a special sound to me, as they make me think of home and the nature from where I grew up. Thank you so much for making this track. It’s amazing and everything I’ve ever wanted.
This is deeply nostalgic for me, as it sounds so much like the soundscape I grew up with at my dad’s house in northeastern PA. I’m happy to report that it is now nestled in an area that has been bought up by the Nature Conservancy, protecting the valley that surrounds him from further encroachment and development. I’m immediately transported to those nights I spent there, the window cracked to let in the cool air and this symphony of the night.
