La temperatura scende rapidamente mentre il sole scivola sotto la linea dove cielo e terra si incontrano. L’aria si raffredda, il cielo arrossisce, poi si approfondisce in un cremisi intenso. Il vento attraversa il canyon con un flusso costante, sfiorando la vegetazione secca. Grilli morbidi e regolari accordano la sera mentre compaiono le stelle. Uccelli e insetti si agitano ancora un poco, concludono la giornata nell’attesa di una notte fresca e asciutta sotto il chiarore della Via Lattea. La terra rossa, ancora calda del giorno, irradia il suo calore verso il cielo aperto. In lontananza, strane rane lanciano a tratti richiami improvvisi. Si sente il vento arrivare da molto lontano, e questo rivela l’ampiezza dello spazio. Quando si attenua, lo spazio si raccoglie leggermente, diventa più vicino, più intimo, per poi allargarsi di nuovo quando un altro soffio vaga e si avvita attraverso il deserto. Qui vivono molte piccole creature che generano un’energia minuta e vibrante, mantenendo tutto luminoso e vivo. Questa è una traccia molto lunga, ricca di dettagli sottili e variazioni minime. L’attività viva di infiniti punti di coscienza disseminati sulla terra pulsa con un ottimismo vibrante, ideale per attività mentali attive come leggere, studiare o lavorare al computer. Probabilmente troppo attiva per dormire, è un luogo in cui è facile perdersi. Aggiunge vita a qualsiasi stanza con gli altoparlanti, e in cuffia diventa immersiva, vivida e distensiva. Ascoltare a volume troppo alto può degradare l’esperienza; è uno spazio delicato.

I actually do enjoy this track for afternoon naps during the cold dark winter season and didn't find it to be too active for sleep as the description might suggest. I think it's quiet/active in ways that it needs to be and is very relaxing.
Many people think the desert is nothing but a harsh and desolate place devoid of life, but living in the southwest I know the stereotype isn't true. This track perfectly captures the kind of open serenity that only the vast spaces and rock cathedrals of the desert can provide. Various birds and insects call from a wide area, none very close. There is a true sense of vast open space here, both in the somewhat echoing quality provided by the canyon and in the auditory space between the wildlife. This place is teeming with life, but not at all crowded, loud or busy. The wind is a quiet and gentle backdrop also showcasing the vast sense of space. This track manages to perfectly capture the sound of wind coming from a long way off unique to the desert. This is also unique in the catalogue in that the wind you hear is just wind - just air swirling around rocks, no rustling leaves, which again equates to a much more serene and subtle wind experience than found in other tracks. The only other track that comes close to these qualities in the catalogue so far is The Ultraviolets, but Electric Desert Sunset is truly unique and I am glad that Naturespace has finally decided to give deserts a chance. I hope there might be more to come!
Amazing!! I love the crickets and winds. Bugs go buzzing by and I feel like I should swat at something! I will enjoy this at work and while doing things around the house. Y'all knock it out if the park every time.
