La temperatura desciende con rapidez mientras el sol se hunde en el horizonte. A medida que el aire se enfría, el cielo se ruboriza y va cediendo poco a poco a un resplandor carmesí profundo. El viento atraviesa el cañón en una corriente continua, rozando y susurrando entre el follaje seco. Grillos suaves y persistentes ensayan la llegada de la noche mientras asoman las estrellas. Aves e insectos van y vienen, cerrando la jornada a la espera de una noche fresca y seca bajo la Vía Láctea. La tierra roja, aún tibia por el calor del día, exhala su calor hacia el cielo abierto. De vez en cuando, ranas extrañas sueltan breves exclamaciones en la distancia. El viento se escucha desde lejos, revelando la amplitud del paisaje. Cuando se disipa, el espacio se vuelve más íntimo, más cercano, hasta que otra brisa errante recorre el desierto en suaves espirales y lo abre de nuevo. Hay aquí innumerables criaturas diminutas que tejen una energía viva y detallada, dejando todo luminoso y animado. Una pieza muy larga, llena de matices y variaciones sutiles. La actividad de incontables puntos de conciencia dispersos por la tierra late con un optimismo vibrante, ideal para tareas mentales activas como leer, estudiar o trabajar en el ordenador. Probablemente demasiado activa para dormir, es un entorno en el que resulta fácil perderse. Da vida a cualquier espacio en altavoces, y con auriculares se vuelve envolvente, vívido y reconfortante. Escuchar demasiado alto puede estropear la experiencia; este es un espacio suave.

I actually do enjoy this track for afternoon naps during the cold dark winter season and didn't find it to be too active for sleep as the description might suggest. I think it's quiet/active in ways that it needs to be and is very relaxing.
Many people think the desert is nothing but a harsh and desolate place devoid of life, but living in the southwest I know the stereotype isn't true. This track perfectly captures the kind of open serenity that only the vast spaces and rock cathedrals of the desert can provide. Various birds and insects call from a wide area, none very close. There is a true sense of vast open space here, both in the somewhat echoing quality provided by the canyon and in the auditory space between the wildlife. This place is teeming with life, but not at all crowded, loud or busy. The wind is a quiet and gentle backdrop also showcasing the vast sense of space. This track manages to perfectly capture the sound of wind coming from a long way off unique to the desert. This is also unique in the catalogue in that the wind you hear is just wind - just air swirling around rocks, no rustling leaves, which again equates to a much more serene and subtle wind experience than found in other tracks. The only other track that comes close to these qualities in the catalogue so far is The Ultraviolets, but Electric Desert Sunset is truly unique and I am glad that Naturespace has finally decided to give deserts a chance. I hope there might be more to come!
Amazing!! I love the crickets and winds. Bugs go buzzing by and I feel like I should swat at something! I will enjoy this at work and while doing things around the house. Y'all knock it out if the park every time.
