Stream of Consciousness

The subtle and random gurgling of water going around a large slippery rock is the anchor of the ambience of moving water that surrounds you. Incredibly pleasant and inviting, the mood this river creates is one of contentment and peace. It is truly lovely from a strictly sonic perspective; the depth of the gurgle and the airy sparkle of the water makes for a perfectly balanced sound. No birds, wind or crickets, just the enchanting music of pure water flowing.
What listeners say
I love this sound, it's really relaxing and it's good at blocking out background noise.
This is a straight water track, so if you love the sound of water, you'd like this one. There is a lot of water here. I love the bubbling, gurgling sound as the water falls onto itself to the left of you. If you listen carefully, you can hear the stream making waves against the bank, or maybe the water is hitting rocks to the center of you? The main body of the stream rushes past you in the direction to the right. This reminds me of our small streams and babling brooks which swell after many days of rain. The sound is similar and relaxing. You could even imagine that the stream is a heavy rainfall, a waterfall, or anything you'd like. Great for drowning out background noise.
There is a low base bubble/fish tank sound underlying stream sound that detracts from pleasant listening. Not good for sleep if you pick it up. I would just prefer stream....
I love this track so much, it has been playing in my house all night every night since I bought my iPad. It is such a soothing way to drown out noises that might disrupt my sleep. I even use it to focus at scbool or work. It is the perfect white noise for me, as it has no pattern that I can discern. And it's so much more soothing than the traditional static-type white noise. My body thanks you for all of the sleep!
A small but vigorous stream without wildlife sounds gives this track a similar feel to Brainwash, but there are subtle differences. In Brainwash, there is a strong sense of swirling in the center of the water. This track has a more stationary perspective, with a deeper bubbling sound to the left and a higher white noise-like water sound to the right, which is also the direction the water flows. More like sitting on a stream bank, while Brainwash is like suspended in the stream itself. Both are great, especially for meditation IMO, so if you're not a stream junkie I suggest picking based on whether you like a strong sense of motion or not. Or go with Riverbank Trance if you prefer a similar track with a larger river.
I love the sound of the forcefully rushing water. However, the gurgling sound of the water going over or around a rock sounds too much like a drum. It's a small but persistent drumming sound that gets a little annoying.
I love this track for its ability to drown out noise. I used to have a traditional white noise machine, but this is so much more relaxing, just as effective, and about 95% cheaper than what I paid for that machine. Love this!!!!
An incredible cleansing sound. It can be quite loud but the way it drown away all other sounds and transports you to right in the middle of a rushing stream is incredible. I almost feel as though I am ready to jump right in! By far the comst complete river track I've purchased so far.
Simple, lilting, pleasant, clean. Feels like a brain rinse. A good track when things are overwhelming and you need to be soothed in a gentle straightforward way without too much to distract you or conjure visualization.
A straightforward waterscape, which sounds like a small river that stretches out around you. The water bubbles deeply over nearby boulders to your left. Very relaxing, without any distractions from wind or fauna. You can imagine sitting on the riverbank or maybe even floating in a canoe down the center of the calm rapids.
Imagine sitting on a big rock in the middle of a stream that is gurgling around you before it rushes on. Water on all sides, sounds as if you are staring downstream watching the water glide swiftly away from you, with the primary rush of the river behind. This is pure water, so you can imagine almost any time of day or year.
The in-app purchases are addictive! "hansel and gretel" and "stream of consciousness" and two of my favorites. In an office environment, I can actually tune out my coworkers and imagine myself in a much more pleasant place. Thanks for improving this app. It is one of my top choices for ambient listening.
