Shadow Valley

By Naturespace · 4 reviews ·

Large winds push through the tall pines and swirl around the valley. A small creek gently bubbles nearby. This is a sunset wind; the atmosphere is rapidly cooling beneath the fading heat of the sun, sending the evening zephyrs upon their course through the woodland.

This reminds me of those days you get after having a long stent of humid weather and then rain comes along and cools everything off. The next day you get a cool, non-humid breezy day. There is wind present with gusty winds from time to time blowing the lush canopies of the trees. Birds can be heard at a distance. Wildlife can be heard scurrying around in the brush nearby. There is a rocky stream close by giving off a delicate, bubbly sound. I find this track very enjoyable and relaxing to listen to. If you like winds, I think this is a good one for you.

I've used a few different nature sound apps over the past few years, and Naturespace is what I've been searching for. All the wind-weather tracks are great. Shadow Valley is that perfect mix of constant ebb and flow of wind that you know could power up to something fierce but then backs down allowing other softer sounds to be heard - the stream. I like the fact that these other sounds are only heard when the wind softens avoiding competition between wind and water. I love the balance. Great track - thank you!

As a kid who spent a week every summer for ten years at camp, and then four whole summers as a camp counselor, the sound of wind through pine trees is like music. Naturespace isn't just about creating beautiful nature recordings; it's about recreating precious memories. Thanks!

This has quickly become one of my favorite wind tracks. The sound of the wind rustling through pine trees is distinct and differs from the tone of some of the wind tracks that feature leafy trees. The wind itself is strong and fairly steady, but not too intense to relax to. There is a subtle sound of water beneath the wind as well as a few birds in the distance, just barely close enough to hear. The presence of these other sounds paints a complete environment, so this track is much more than simple wind.
