Serenading The Moon
By Naturespace · 5 reviews ·
Noctilucent clouds silently traverse the night, backlit by the full moon that hangs low in the the southern sky. Shifting between complete darkness and bright lunar light, the frogs react to the moon. As the glow increases, so does the song. And as the moon again becomes obscured by the clouds, the song goes quiet. Fireflies float over the wet grass, bobbing up and down and then vanishing into the velvet black landscape. Light and shadow dance and shift, instilling magic into the air. This is a very special evening. The natural harmony that permeates the scene is breathtaking. The sound perfectly correlates with the shifting light in the sky, which gives an otherwise very subtle and delicate track the power to completely take over the atmosphere of the listening environment. Spectacular as an all night sleeping ambience, it is also exceptional at adding a sense of nature to any room at any time. A beautifully haunting and sublime mood that enhances any environment. Pure magic! This track is excellent over both speakers and headphones.
What listeners say
Listening to this nature space at a not-too-high or not-too-low volume makes this a great evening track. You can hear all kinds of nocturnal critters. There are faint calls amongst the frog song which makes this track very intriguing. To me, listening too loud makes this track sound haunting and mysterious and may become uncomfortable to some. I like to play this at a volume just loud enough where I can hear the distant, faint background calls. When the frog song gets quiet because the moon ducked behind clouds, the faint background calls become more visible. Nonetheless, a great sleeping track.
Tree frogs(?) chorus in waves, never really going silent but shifting from near to far as the clouds shift the light. When they recede into the distance, other sounds come to the fore - the whole night is teeming with little singing crickets and critters. I have been trying to determine if many of the other sounds are also frogs of different species? Whatever the case is, it's alive but very peaceful. I imagine this is taking place in a bayou at night. I'm swinging in a hammock under the cypress trees, but with the benefit of no mosquitoes. :)
This track is SO relaxing! I wasn’t sure when I listened to the preview, but I bought it anyway. After spending some time with it I can tell you unequivocally that this is one of the best tracks in the whole catalog as an ambience for sleeping. I’ve had it on for the last 8 nights and it is just amazing. This is also a great track for using the built-in speaker of my iPhone. When we were at my parents for Christmas, my wife had it playing out of her phone, and I had it playing on mine, with the two phones on opposite sides of the room. WOW! Completely convincing and super real! I highly recommend it!
It took me awhile to get used to this one and while it is not my favorite I do like it ✯✯✯
