召喚之海

By Naturespace · 8 reviews ·

This is one of the few ocean tracks I like. You would think that being a cancarian I would love every one of them but the are mostly too intense for me, but so is the ocean in general.

I like this one, I just wish the vocals (the Siren) were throughout the entire track. That’s what makes this one different. I keep finding myself trying to hear it after it’s already stopped.

WOW. This track is utterly magnificent. I wasn't sure about buying it because the tonalities seemed very loud in the preview, but I'm so glad I did. The tonalities (including the operatic solo) are intermittent, which means a lot of the track is just the sound of the ocean. When I first hit play, there was only water... waves and waves and waves of water. I got shivers immediately. The waves are detailed and realistic, and they are layered over each other in a fascinating way. When there are tonalities, most of them are quiet, allowing you to focus on the water sounds. The soloist is louder (like the preview), but her voice is beautiful and her solo only lasts for a brief amount of time. It reminds me of something out of Lord of the Rings. You'll love this track if you are looking for imaginative, meditative tracks similar to Lucid Dreaming and The Imaginarium.

Great track, very calming ocean sounds. My hyper little dogs get lulled to sleep listening to this on speakers. The subtle vocal ambience which is intermittent, truly conveys that deep sense of otherworldly mystery that presents itself when one is alone with the ocean.

I'm not normally big on sounds of waves crashing, but this track has an open feel to it and the sporadic tones make this track soothing and hypnotic.

I have a rather consistent dislike for all things beach-related; so ocean tracks I actually enjoy always have certain extenuating merits. “The Beckoning Ocean” has quite a few of these merits, & I've come to love it for these reasons… • Wave-patterns from the open-ocean are usually the only type of ocean sounds I enjoy, (e.g. “Aegir”); those are the kind in this track… • The tonalities are an awesome addition & definitely help sell the sound of the waves so completely to my tastes… • But, very specifically, I ended up loving this track bc it imparts a Mythos upon the listener— Open-ocean waves imbued with epic tonal-dramatics— & most important of all, the Song of the Siren. Add a Mythos to anything, & it's no longer equal to the sum of its parts. The combination of elements chosen to be added to this track work in perfect harmony to create a mood, style, sound sequence, & adventurousness that no other track in the store has. Highly recommended.
