If you enjoy bird song like I do, then you won't want to pass over this one. The bird song throughout the track is cheerful and bright. The bubbling creek, gentle breezes, and occasional flying insect whizzing by is just enough to give you that sense of feeling that all is right with the world. This does remind me of a perfect afternoon.

I have the entire catalogue and I think this is one of my favorite relaxing tracks. I like to listen to it while reading or just to zone off with headphones and feel like I'm in a warm, sunny meadow. It's very calming and nothing stands out too loudly or sharply, it's a great for a soothing mid-day nap.

What can I say that the name of this track doesn't already? When I first got the Naturespace library, I thought that only "night" sounds could put me to sleep, but lately I've been experimenting with the morning and afternoon tracks, as well as the Sanctuary Island recordings, and I find that beautiful birdsong works just as well. This track in particular is especially lovely and peaceful.

This is my absolute favorite of the pure nature sounds. I find that I most enjoy tracks with a balanced sense of environment, and this one is perfect in that neither the water, nor the wind or birds dominates the scene. Instead, they all share the space equally. Not to mention that he environment this track invokes is of the utmost tranquility. The birds are joyful and yet no single call overpowers the others, and they are at the perfect distance to add a happy ambience. The water is a gentle babbling brook that takes turns with the wind, yet neither drowns out the other sounds at any time. Absolutely perfect for relaxing or taking an afternoon nap, yet also active enough to provide an outdoor ambience for mental tasks.

I wanted to download an app I could meditate with but not any with spoken words. The in app downloads are amazing. I am sitting in a Starbucks as I write this review and yet my brain and body feel as though they have been transported to a field filled with flowers, butterflies, song birds and near to a bubbling spring. What a wonderful app to use as a temporary escape from the hurried lives we lead.

It is the dead of winter, the birds have gone south except for the ocassional blue jay. The leaves are all gone leaving the trees cold and naked. Yet if you step into Utopia and listen to the spring songs of the birds, the wind rustling in the trees, it's warm again. You are taken away to a place you remember. What a pleasure.

Light breezes, a fly or bee lazily buzzes by. The meadow is alive with birdsong in the surrounding trees and brush, a few cooing birds call to the left, one flies in front of you. A distant stream is behind you, flowing left to right. Very bright, very spring-like/early summer and fresh. You can easily imagine green fields and wildflowers on a beautiful day in May. Lulling, but the close bird activity keep you from drifting too far afield.

Birds, water, wind. It's those 3 simple elements that make up this gorgeous natural environment. I can't identify the species, but generally the birds sound like several varieties of the small chattering type. They appear throughout the track mostly in the background as if perched high in the trees, with a few birds coming down closer to the microphone to twitter briefly before moving on. One such bird appears near your left shoulder and spends only about one minute singing a colorful canary-like song before he moves on. The very faint buzz of a bee or fly is heard flying past once or twice. There are several birds that call back and forth to each other that sound a bit like the squeaker found in dog toys. Scattered chirping of other small birds such as sparrows and finches are continuous at various distances all around and above you. The sound of the water is a perfect pitch. Not too loud or harsh, not too soft. It is the sound of a moderate-sized free flowing stream. It's never too gurgling or distracting from the rest of the track, nor is it as flat sounding as white noise. It is truly the perfect water sound for this peaceful track. The wind is also a beautifully subtle and balanced element to this environment. It is mostly very calm and a bit softer than the sound of the flowing water. It does pick up though after a nice burst and becomes more active and dominant in the sound field as you hear it blowing through the leafy canopy for about a minute and a half. The track appears to loop every 4 minutes, so there's a nice pace to listening to this for an extended amount of time--being neither too even to become tedious or too uneven to become quickly predictable. Comparisons: The birds are similar to the birds found in the tracks, "Daybreak Songbirds" (but much softer here) and "Morning Pathwalk" (more colorful songs, but similar volume and distance). The sound of the water is similar to that found on "Summer Mountain Valley" in that it is steady and balanced, but much softer volume and a lower more pleasant tone. My impressions. Since I've just mentioned the free track, "Summer Mountain Valley", I think that "Utopia" is probably most similar to that track, only with twittering birds in place of the chirping crickets, and an overall softer sound. It is my new favorite peaceful daytime track to listen to. Everything about this track is just right. I think it's the stand-out choice in this category and a must-have for your collection. It is a track that might be easily overlooked because it contains elements already found in so many of the other Naturespace environments. The photograph used to illustrate "Utopia", the vibrant blue butterfly resting on flowers in a soft shaded green background, is the perfect image to convey the sound of this environment. After listening to so many different nature environments that have so many similarities, this one shines as being one of the best at balancing all the elements that it contains in harmony. I would rate this as one of the 5 best nature tracks in the catalog.
