法拉第笼
By Naturespace · 14 reviews ·
What listeners say
At full volume, my reaction to this track is, "Holy crap!!!" Yes, I did jump at a few of the sudden cracks of thunder, and I'm not one that is easily frightened. Magnificent track this is, but yes, be warned, this is not something you want to fall asleep to. Rather, it's a great way to keep you wide awake, particularly when those wicked booms suddenly come upon you! Otherwise, love it.
I purchased this one because I wanted a good violent storm track. To be honest this track disappointed me, the rain is too often low and gentle and while the thunderclaps are entertaining I don't find them at all surprising or scary, Even on high volume I find this track pretty tame. For an all encompassing storm where you feel truly exposed I still think Aegir is a better track. The other sounds in it really render the idea of a violent storm better than this one. I've actually felt slightly unnerved listening to Aegir, and had to turn it off periodically. If what you want is a long storm track with occasional wind, heavy rain and lots of thunder then this one is a good choice. But if you're expecting something a bit scary I think it misses the mark. Not sorry I bought it, just different than I expected.
I am not one for loud, severe thunderstorms, but after hearing the sample, I had to have this. It is absolutely so realistic under earbuds, that if you are the timid type, you'd be running for cover. I would definitely not listen to this at a high volume under earbuds, but it sounds pretty cool on decent surround-sound speakers! The thunder rumbles are magnificent, horrifying, majestic and violent, all at the same time! So much so, that you can feel the rumbles. I like the varying rain patterns from moderate to hard ... I can even imagine seeing the rain coming down at a slanted angle. The intermittent wind gusts sound fierce, strong and powerful, blowing everything in its path, or perhaps spawning tornadoes. The thunder just keeps coming ... cracking ... popping ... and rumbling along. Awesome track NatureSpace! I think I can smell the rain.
At first going by the description I thought this may have been a track which incorporated non-nature elements but it is nothing but pure storm. This is by far and away my favourite of all the thunderstorm tracks. The rain, wind and thunderclaps are tremendously satisfying. The track has the curious effect of making me feel as if I'm actually in the middle of a storm and cools me down on a hot day. Great for calming a whirring mind.
Thank you this track is wonderful, so dynamic.
This track is loud enough to mask external noise when I study in a cafe, yet without blowing my headphones or earplugs off. Many thanks to Naturespace for this magnificent track.
Your tracks never disappoint! Faraday's Cage is the type of storm that alerts all the senses. You can feel the electricity in the air, the wild unpredictability. Set to medium volume, I'm awake and productive. Set low, I can relax to sleep far out of harms way. Thank you Naturespace!
I love your thunder storm and rain sounds and have downloaded every one.But this is by far the best ever, i love the deep bass rumbles with rain. I also love your sounds with drums as well. Perhaps you could do a combined sound with bass drums and thunder that would be fantastic. Please keep up your fantastic efforts iam always looking forward to new sounds regards Steve
This is a terrific addition to my Naturespace thunderstorm collection. Faraday's Cage has the intensity of Thor and the diversity of The Legend of Nikola Tesla. As thunder rolls across the sky, the rain and wind change in intensity throughout the track. When played through my surround sound speakers, I pump up the volume and vividly picture myself in the midst of a raging storm. When played through my in-ear headphones, I turn the volume to the lowest setting and the storm is gentle enough to lull me to sleep. I highly recommend this track for all thunderstorm aficionados!!
This is an extremely realistic severe thunderstorm. None of the other storm tracks come close to this. It's not just rain and thunder, but a raging torrent filled with wind and the most insane lightning bolts. You can definitely imagine being at risk of tornadoes with this one. The ground shakes with each crack of thunder. Exhilarating!
Awesome track! Frequent thunder that surrounds you with rumbles and blasts, downburst winds, dynamic rain sounds...you can't get much closer than this unless you find yourself inside one of nature's most violent spectacles. Once again, Naturespace delivers. Take it from someone who's been there and done that, if you want to safely immerse yourself inside the raw power of the thunderstorm, you can' t get much closer than this. Highly recommended! Once again, the folks at Naturespace deliver a realistic soundscape that many listeners may not hear in their lifetimes. Having actually been inside (and outside) "Faraday's Cage" more times than I can count, I can attest to the veracity of the sound and the power of the storm. This is not a track you want to listen to loudly nor while sleeping! The downburst winds and rain are very much spot on (maybe a little too white and not brown enough from my experience, but this could be a function of any number of things, incliding my hearing range and earbuds/headphones). You almost expect to hear the cracking and snapping sounds of tree limbs giving way under the force of such winds. This must not have been an easy track to build given the challenges presented in these situations; sensitive electronics (and humans) and lightning most certainly do not play well together! About the only thing I "miss" in this track is the sound of hail, everything from the splashes and klinks of marble-sized hail falling into puddles to the almost sub-audible roar as millions of hailstones up to the size of softballs bounces against one another on their fall from over 25 thousand feet above the earth, and then hearing the thuds as these massive chunks of ice pound the ground (and other things) at speeds of over 100 mph...but as with the very close lightning strikes inferred in "Faraday's Cage", such a massive hailfall would not play nicely with recording equipment, recording engineers, recording engineers' windshields, insurance claims, etc. A note of caution here: on average, lightning is second to flash flooding as the #1 weather-related killer in the United States. From experience I can tell everyone that some of the thunder you hear in this track came from lightning that was within a half-mile of the recording. That's too close...In other words, do not try this at home! If you can hear thunder, you could be struck by lightning, so play it safe and get somewhere safe when thunderstorms approach. Appreciate the raw power of Nature from your own Faraday Cage.
This is a joy of a storm to sit through. Added bonus: Our cats perk up for every thunder crash. I think they enjoy it as much as I do.
This is my favorite track so far. It feels like I'm really in a storm. Love it.
Amazing! The thunder is the best I've heard and the rain is always changing. Keep up the awesome work with this year's tracks!
