Praia de areia negra

By Naturespace · 7 reviews ·

I like the sound of the waves rolling in and terminating with a fizz. There is a loud wind noise to my right which I find somewhat distracting, interrupting my concentration on the waves. If I listen at a low volume to get rid of the wind noise, I really cannot hear the waves well. If I listen too loud, then I get the sensation that a huge wave may be coming and I may get slammed by an 8-foot wave on the right.

Brilliant noise masking ability! Perfect for working in a noisy environment

Best app so far! I actually use this every night, all night, very relaxing and helps my broken sleep

This sounds to me like a beach at mid-day. The waves are faster and a little more random than in the Liquid Phase, but more fizzy than the Infinite Shoreline. There is a bit of an ocean breeze, but it’s only in the background and not nearly as powerful as in some Naturespace tracks. Good for relaxing and sleeping; it has a more “open” environmental sound with more going on in it than the Liquid Phase, but it lacks the hypnotic quality.

Black Sand Beach is quite vivid, and I do love the fact that you stand facing the ocean as the waves come in. (Perhaps just looking slightly off to the left.) It works. It seems to be much harder to create the front to back effect as opposed to the more common left to right or right to left wave effect, but Black Sand Beach accurately captures it. I like it for this reason. You can hear the wind too, but it is quiet enough as to not be distracting. The track is an effective sound mask. The day is not calm, the water has some force behind it. Another great NS location!

I love the position and feel of the waves but there is this scary wind in it. Lol I can't explain it other than to say it makes me feel a little nervous.

Nice ocean waves. Distant surf and smaller shore waves. Unlike some of the other Naturespace ocean tracks, this recording has the waves directly in-front. You can hear the wave approach head-on and there isn't a strong sense of a long wave "running" along the shore. I can hear the larger grains of sand on this beach. Peaceful.
