"Soothing" is the best word to describe this recording. Between the rain and the frogs, it feels maternal and almost primeval. I've said it in other reviews, the sound of tree frogs is incredibly lovely to me. I grew up in Washington State with Pacific Tree Frogs, the only frogs in the world that actually "ribbit" and also the frogs that you hear in the background of most Hollywood movies, since they are so common along the West Coast. I don't know if the frogs in this recording are PTF, but they sound very similar. It's so beautiful, it almost brought tears to my eyes! The rain is gentle and the environment is very wet. As other reviewers have mentioned, the drops are hitting leaves, water, puddles, branches, mud and twigs. The variation keeps this track interesting. If I am anxious or generally stressed out, I go to this track. I listened to it last night after a particularly difficult anxiety attack, it soothed me right into sleep.

This is actually the best light rain track in the catalog and so nice that it's a freebie with the app. I've sampled all the other rain tracks and I still find this one to be my favourite. I can sleep and meditate to this one for indefinite periods. It helps that rain is my favourite sound in the world though. Which is why I find it strange I've not purchased any other rain tracks. There is just the right amount of leaves, puddle, twigs and constant rain to make it just about perfect.

A very soothing natural sound, especially for those of us who experience ear ringing. Tends to cancel out ringing.

The first of the update's much appreciated new free tracks I listened to. This is a top notch track that features two of my favorite sounds together - rain and frogs. The rain serves as the foreground while the soothing frog chorus is more of a backdrop adding interest and a more specific environmental element to what would otherwise be primarily the natural white noise of rain. The rain itself is delicate and multilayered - there is a strong sense of the rain drops hitting a leafy and close forest canopy before eventually gathering into drops that plink into the still pond shrouded by the branches. Great multipurpose track - excellent for night ambience at bed, invoking rainy or marshy environs, unique white noise, decent sound blocking, and over all good for relaxation, rejuvenation and visualization.

Lovely track of a steady rain in the foreground and soft songs from night critters in the background. The rainfall seems to go through subtle intensity patterns. An occasional popping of rain on twigs and leaves can be heard as the rain finds its way to the ground, pooling at times. Perhaps it is hitting a lake or pond? This is a welcomed addition to my "RainScapes" rain tracks folder. Very soothing.

This is really nice calming. Especially during the Exams.
