Cumulus Aquae

By Naturespace · 22 reviews ·

i love this with my airpods max!!

So I am not a big fan of this track, there are times when it sounds like the wind and waves are drowning each other out (Naturespace comment: This track is intended to have less detail than other wave tracks, and functions best as a natural source of white noise, rather than a detailed shoreline.)

★★★★★

Amazing track. I listen to it at work when I have a break. Acts like a lullaby and isolates me from all noise. So many details to listen to and so soothing at the same time

I'm catching up on all the Naturespace tracks I missed in the last year or two, and Cumulus Aquae is one of the best. The wind in this is realistic, huge and powerful but never harsh. I am in awe of the hard work and talent that went into this track. Another reviewer mentioned that he felt like he was standing on the edge of the world, and I think that's a great way of describing how this track makes me feel. Just buy it. There was another reviewer who said that the longer she listened to a track, the more she could hear. That's been my exact experience with Naturespace. Before I got this app, I don't think I ever truly listened to the world around me even though I spent a ton of time outside. I remember listening to my first few Naturespace tracks and thinking, "Wow, is this what _______ (wind in pine trees, buzzing insects, etc) really sounds like?" Then whenever I'd go outside I would listen carefully. Invariably, I would think "YES! Oh my god, Naturespace got it right, that's exactly what a lake sounds like." Listening to these tracks have changed my life. It's a beautiful cycle: the more I listen to Naturespace, the more I appreciate the outdoors, and the more I listen to the outdoors, the more I appreciate Naturespace. Listening is an art, be sure to take the time to cultivate it. Don't give up on a track just because you don't understand it... be patient. You'll be amazed.

Noise making you tense? Cumulus Aquae to the rescue! A steady (but somehow not monotonous) blend of wind and waves. It's nice to have a variety of tracks for different purposes. This one covers up the noise with soothing surf. I start at a low volume and turn it up 'til I no longer feel bothered by the neighbors. I don't even need to play it very loud. Excellent!

★★★★★

Really like the way the wave is continuous, by having a nice even sound I don't wake up. I like to pick out different tracks depending on what I'm trying to do.

★★★★★

Reminds me of when we stayed at the beach, falling asleep to the sound of the waves. So-o-o peaceful!

★★★★★

Nature space is my go to for anytime I want to relax, concentrate or drown out noisy co-workers. I love this track, it is very consistent, with no distracting noises. It reminds me of winter storms off the west coast of Vancouver Island or tropical storms where all you can hear is the ocean and wind and would have to shout to have someone hear you. It is also great for sleeping since it is so consistent. Keep up the great work naturespace.

★★★★★

wind? only this one. other track's wind is similar to noise. this is true. 8/10

This is easily my favorite one for sleeping. Wind is my favorite, and this one along with the waves maintain a steady volume. The sound doesn't get really low and then come back really high, so it won't snap you awake.

★★★★★

Fantastic sounds, I put it on for my baby boy at night and he falls fast asleep. Best white noise I've heard. Highly recommend

★★★★★

Best one yet for drowning out the noise on a busy hospital ward at night. I can no longer hear the constant beeping of machines, nurses talking and the buzzing of bells from the other three beds around me in the bay. I'm a regular inpatient so this is my go to app and this is now my go to track. Trying it now in fact having had yet another ankle surgery!

When I first started listening to this track, it sounded mostly like white nioise. Granted I have really cheap headphones I got at Marshall's so I thought that was the reason. However, lately it's like, WOW, I can really HEAR the individual sounds of wind and waves, and it sounds realistic whereas before it was muddled. Are my ears or my perceptions changing? Kinda strange, but cool nonetheless. I can't tell you how much I LOVE naturespace and use it ALL the time. ------- (Naturespace comment: Hearing more detail and creating a more complete visual image happens because you are literally becoming a better listener. The connection between the ear and the brain becomes more capable of conveying a true sense of being somewhere else once the listener becomes acclimated to holographic sound. We are very happy to know this is happening for you; it is the whole point, and it's one of the main reasons we caution against over-reliance on previewing tracks. It takes a while to "click into" the space.)... d-_-b

After bringing our son home from the hospital, we played this at a fairly high volume next to his crib in our bedroom. It helped all three of us go to sleep!

This is my favorite track in the catalog for pleasant white noise. It blocks out my partner's snoring and has helped me avoid migraines when I'm in a highly distracting work Enviornment . It is complex enough with the dimensions of the wind and waves but it does have a rhythmic quailty so it doesn't over stimulate. Love this!

★★★★★

This track is a great one for studying at the coffee house. It drowns out all of the surrounding sound, but doesn't pull your attention. It would be great to have more "white noise" like this.

★★★★★

Having grown up near the beach, this is evocative of the chilly, windy, overcast days of fall and early spring. There are no tourists, only a few fellow locals bundled up and walking the sand, enjoying the solitude. Very pleasant and relaxing track, but it makes me want some hot cocoa!

★★★★★

Just added this track and love it. Perfect combination of waves & wind. Can't wait to try it out for sleeping. By The way, I think it would be interesting to see a "behind the scenes" video of how you record these tracks. Just a few minutes would be interesting. Keep up the good work!

★★★★★

I like this track. Reminds me of spending my summers on Cape Cod when I was growing up. Afternoon naps in the warm sand and the crashing waves lulling me to sleep. Also a great track for masking outside noise. I work in a large deptment of people and this blocks it all out. Worth adding to the collection

★★★★★

This is my new favorite wind track (my other favorite is Shadow Valley). I know from the description that waves are present, but all I hear is the wind. I listen quietly with good quality in-ear headphones and the sound is a steady and tranquil wind that quickly lulls me to sleep. Another Naturespace winner!!!

★★★★★

Wind and waves swirl together in this track, and I could see it fitting comfortably in either category. There really is something epic about it, like standing at the mythic edge of the world. Even so, white noise is a great description if the basic tone, enough that falling asleep will be easy. Close your eyes and drift off to the motion of the air and sea around you. Great auditory texture!
