Ruisseau de Moosejaw
By Naturespace · 10 reviews ·

This is my favourite . Guaranteed to put you to sleep . Big thumbs up . Naturespace is awesome
This is a very serene clip. The sound of the water, wind and bits is very relaxing.
The Moosejaw Creek track saved my life when I flew from LAX to Denver. I had forgotten HOW LOUD THE ENGINES are. I put my iPhone in Airplane Mode, plugged my earbuds in, and turned on Moosejaw. THANK YOU NATURESPACE.
I like this track and find myself using it quite often in the sleep/wake transitions timer as my wake sound. The strong, bubbling creek and soft bird calls is just enough to wake you and let you know morning has arrived. Rise and shine! LOL
This reminds me of hiking and camping with my family when I was a kid, when we would stop at a creek and play in the water. There are a few birds and insects in this track which add to the variety and interest. The insects don't get too close so unlike Hansel & Gretel it isn't invasive & irritating. I like to sit back to ths one and imagine myself back in time with my family at this beautiful Moosejaw creek. Lovely job on this one!
Out of the afternoon tracks that feature running water, this one has the most prominent water sound. It's definitely a small creek rather than a full river. What differentiates this track from any of the tracks in the river category is that there is more going on than just the water. It sounds like you're in a remote forest filled with tall trees. There are intermittent sounds of birds and insects, and a wind picks up here and there, but it sounds like its high in the trees. A nice track that takes you to a place of solitude.
A bubbly creek. Seems like it's going downward and has little mini-waterfalls. Located in the lush woods. The creek us going straight, and bubbling around and over the relativaley small rocks. Distant single chirping bird, and a songbird chatters occasionally as well. I love this track........ Hey naturespace, I have a question. My purchasing gas been strangely disabled, how do I fix it so I can purchase tracks again? Respond, please. :)_____(Naturespace response.. Hi Mia, the problem with In-App purchasing was on Apple's side, and it affected almost all apps with In-App purchasing. It seems like it was down for about 36 hours, but should be working by now. Please send any further questions to support@naturespace.com for the quickest response.)
Sounds like an early morning scene in a deeply secluded forest stream. Definitely the sounds of a small stream, the bulk of the sounds revolves around a trickle of water running over rocks in the stream bed. Small sparse waterfalls can be heard in the distance feeding the creek. There are bird sounds in this track. I find bird sounds to be distracting while sleeping so I find the track better suited to study.
A quieter, gentler waterfall over the rocks sound than Cascadia River, with birds and animals. Has a spring-like to very early summer effect. Sounds refreshing and cool.
Here again Naturespace has written a very accurate description of what you hear in this track. The only detail that I can add to their description would be to mention that the "waterfalls" are really more like large gurgles of water flowing over rocks. So please don't expect to hear the sound of 3 large water-roaring-over-ledges type of waterfall sounds. The water is gently gurgling and very three-dimensional since you do hear 3 distinct sounds in the creek coming from your left, center, and right. The "low wind that occasionally rolls by overhead" makes a very brief appearance. This isn't at all a windy track. You hear it gently blow across the soundscape about once every 6 minutes--the length of this track. The wind comes as an unexpected surprise since the air sounds very still throughout most of the rest of the track, and it only blows for about 50 seconds as a soft low roar that moves from right to left. You can hear other more subtle breezes blow, but only if you turn the volume up to a higher level than feels necessary for this track. There are several different varieties of birds that are heard. This track is rather unique in that each of the four or so different birdcalls is each heard individually, and each for only a few brief moments with long silent sections in between. I would say that birds are only heard in about 20% of this track. The loudest birdcall is a sharp cry that sounds like it may come from a small hawk or other raptor. The single-note cry is repeated about 10 times and comes from directly overhead. Shortly after that is the strange call of the bird that sounds like a New Year's Eve noisemaker, as also heard in the "Hansel and Gretel" track. It is equally subtle on this recording, coming only from a mid-ground distance off to your right. There are a couple of other random soft cries and twitters, but that's about it. Just enough birds are heard to keep this track from being solely about the sound of a creek. Oh...and there's the signature fly fly-by here too! My impressions. Another beautiful and peaceful track that is quite similar to "Idyllica Tremens". If you buy one of these two, and like it, you are most likely to really enjoy the other as well. Although the differences are subtle, they are two distinct environments, and you will enjoy having each. "Idyllic Tremens" sounds like a more open space with a greater amount of white noise, a bit of insect noise, and small trilling birds. "Moosejaw Creek", on the other hand, sounds like a more closed space set within a forest of tall trees, less background white noise, fewer bird calls, and no insect chirping. The sparseness of the distinct birdcalls and the small wind that rolls through give this track a bit more pacing than the more steady sound found on "Idyllic Tremens". Both tracks are great, and I go back and forth between which one I prefer. You might possibly be disappointed with this track only if you are expecting a more fully rounded and layered environment (as with "Utopia") since it is mainly about the 3-D sound of the gurgling creek with just a hint of fauna and breeze thrown into the mix to keep it interesting.
