What listeners say
Really gives the sense of being on a train, with gentle variation. I use it for falling asleep. The train makes some high-pitched tones, naturally, but they are subtle.
this is great for sleeping to, as well as being good background noise to keep my brain whirring while I'm writing or drawing! it makes me feel like I really have hopped onto the train to Sleepytime Junction each night :D!!
Awesome Very imaginative
LOVE LOVE LOVE this track as well as Infinite Shoreline. Daughter turned me onto Naturespace for beautifully enhanced sleep app! I use Infinite Shoreline to mask husband's snoring! With Naturespace, I can sleep and dream again! Where were you guys 25 yrs ago?? All the sleep I've missed until your amazing app!! Thx Holographic Naturespace!!!
This is my favorite to use for falling asleep, especially at night. It's somehow very comforting as if I am safe with the engineer keeping it moving while I sleep. I usually set it to go off in 45 minutes though I think it takes much less time to fall asleep. If I wake up during the night, I play it again to quickly fall asleep.
great 9/10
The Ghost is my new favorite. It's like being on a constant journey, with a comforting rhythm. The sound of the train on the tracks is so familiar and organic it's hard to believe it's man-made. I can almost feel the movement rocking me to sleep.
I have been looking for an authentic rail journey recording for so long and this one is damn near perfect. It's peaceful and has great depth in the recording. There is one thing however that almost ruins this for me, the squeaking brakes! The squeaking is so piercing at times that it has woken me up after the peacefulness of the track had sent me to sleep. I really wish naturespace could do this track without the squeaking. It would be my favourite track, by far. (Naturespace comment: We suggest using Earbud Optimization mode, it will greatly reduce the squeaking brakes. Also, headphones with a better bass response will give a fuller sound and de-emphasize the squeaks. We don't find the squeaking to be too loud on our headphones. A train is a complicated sound to reproduce, so good headphones really help the realism.)
Fell into a deep sleep while listening to this (so easy to do, by the way), and groggily woke up feeling like the whole of my bedroom was a train and I was swaying in it. I actually felt a little dizzy, though only temporarily. Talk about a holographic experience! When I'm mostly awake, this brings back memories of the subway in NYC. Now that's a great place to sleep as long as you don't miss your station:)
I like the overall visualization effect of this track but find it hard to relax to. It makes me think of being on the T in Boston.
This is my favorite track. I can listen to it while research/writing or fall asleep to it. Cloud Engine is s great companion.
Cinematic but real. Great, great job guys!
Really nice. So much room for imagination...I imagine its mid-spring and early in the afternoon. You can hear water passing under at certain points, which adds to the depth of the track.
I grew up living close to some tracks...at night I would fall asleep listening to the clickety clack and the whistle...I loved that sound. It was so soothing and now when I hear trains it takes me back to my childhood. No adult worries...no bills to pay...just the peaceful, soothing sound of home. I can relax and fall asleep fairly quickly when I listen to this track... It's beautiful... I am going to buy the other one with the whistle... Can't wait!!
wonderfully evocative yet soothing. is it just me that hears what sounds like a vaccum cleaner running through the whole track? it seems to get louder and quieter throughout. i find this a bit off putting and would love to know what part of the steam train experience it is, any ideas?---(Naturespace comment:__ Well, it's steam actually. The Ghost is a descent, which means the engine is not pulling the train, it's motion is because of gravity. But descending with the engine off would be a very bad idea, so the boiler is on, and quite hot, and generating steam, which needs to purge through the relief valve, otherwise it would explode. Traveling by train back then held many dangers, and exploding steam engines, while rare, did happen. Just plug the relief valve up and BOOM!)
Love it, love it, love it! If I listen to this for a half hour or so, I feel happy for hours. Totally di not expect that!
Great job guys! Who knew listening to a train was so relaxing? I especially love the part where the sound of the river below you comes in...and the parts of almost near silence where you can imagine yourself just floating along.
Sounds amazing. I love the sounds of trains. This is nice to sleep to, to take a journey with, or to just feel nestalgic. It is missing the big whistle sound but its on purpose, the rhythmic sound of the train and the track helps rest the soul.
The most holographic track that I've encountered. This ride consists of: a constant rumbling at varying volumes, occasional bumps, squeaks, rattles and clangs (but nothing jarring enough to distract you from this soothing journey), gentle hissing wind, hissing from the brakes, and an occasional ghostly bell. I imagine this ride on the lonely train taking place on a dark, cold night. It is very immersive. So get your ticket at the station and have a seat. Enjoy the ride.
Naturespace does it again. This is a very gentle, soothing journey which is great for falling asleep to due to the hypnotic nature of the train's sounds. I have fallen asleep on trains many times, and now I can relive those moments again (but I won't miss any stops now!). Hopefully this is a sign of things to come. I love the natural sounds and hope they continue, but these journey tracks (this one, the cloud engine, the search, the dive, morning pathwalk, etc) breathe a whole new life into going into another world by just putting headphones on. Fantastic stuff as always.
I love this track! I purchased an extra long cord so I can sleep with my earbuds. I sleep to this track. I love the sounds trains make as they're rocking down the tracks. This is very soothing. Thank you Naturespace! You never disappoint!
This is a beautiful ambient track, much more subtle than the preview would suggest. At first, I wasn't sure about it because I was looking for something quiet and relaxing and the preview was a bit too active for me. Nevertheless, I got this track and I don't regret it. Haven't tried yet but I could probably even sleep to it. As always, Naturespace is perfect.
How did you know that I have been waiting for a train track? This is fabulous and reminds me of long, sleepy journeys on the trains of my youth. The rhythm is soothing and familiar and the train will take you anywhere you dream of going. Now I am just waiting for a horse riding track!!!
