Absolutely one of my most favorites!!! Reminds me of rainy afternoons spent on our porch with my Mother some 50 years ago, both of us reading and thoroughly enjoying the rain and the time together.

A proper gentle storm with gentle rain and gentle thunder, Sheltered is a track that is a joy to fall asleep to. Nothing about this track is overpowering, and as long as your headphone volume is not up too loud the thunder will not startle you awake. This track is best played on a fairly low volume; the rain falling into the gutters and hitting the roof is amazing. This track is a must-buy; you will be glad that you did.

This is one of my go-to tracks for falling asleep. It's perfectly balanced.

This has to be one of my favourite Naturspace tracks. Many of the other tracks make you feel exposed to the elements. This one is so comforting as you can hear rain drops hit the roof and walls around you. This track sounded great out of a pair of Sennheiser HD650, but enjoying it with my new Audeze LCD - especially the low thunder portions.

This is a great rain/thunderstorm track. At times, you hear a steady, mild rain. Gutters and downspouts gurgle and knock as they manage the water. A mild rumble of thunder is heard from a distance. You settle in, as this is going to be a good one. All of a sudden ... CRACK! You a startled right out of your sleep! I must have drifted off and hit the volume button on my earbuds, because I was awakened by the loud thunder overhead, that it startled me. LOL. This track is very realistic, and I love it! It resembles the many storms we get here in the Northeast. If you like rain/thunderstorms but are squeamish about loud, startling bouts of thunder, don't sleep to this one. Try the "Back Home" track instead. The thunder remains mild in that one. The "Sheltered" track is very lovely with intense thunder from time to time. I can actually visualize the hot and cold air masses coming together to produce the storm. The raindrops hitting a multitude of surfaces and the thunder claps overhead and from afar sound awesome in my earbuds. I think I even hear someone's dog barking in the distance. I am very glad I grabbed this track.

One of my favourite tracks, I can instantly relax to it while imagining I'm laying on a swing chair on a porch, listening to the rain trickle on the roof and down the drainpipes. Absolutely magical!

I have a shower speaker with Blue tooth and this was perfect for a nice shower in the winter. With headphones, it reminds me of Florida evenings in the summer. An extremely relaxing listening experience!

I have been Listenning to this wonderful rain track on and off for several days now. I love it. The rain noise is soft and subtle yet with incredible amount of depth and space when you listen carefully on quality headphones. Then there is the rolling thunder - what a relaxing delight. You can feel the varied distances of the soft cracks throughout the landscape. You can also here the thunder get closer or further away as it travels the soundstage. Amazing. Also, the creators were not kidding when they say that this is a long track. I have never been able to figure out when it loops nor have a definitively recognized the same thunder twice. Finally, there are absolutely (to the best of my knowledge) no distracting noises. No birds to speak of, no nothing. Just the wonderful storm and the surreal sense of place as you sit sheltered. Fall in love with nature all over again. Relax and purchase this track.

Superb. This is the best sleep storm I own and I own many (the NatureSpace ones are the best). Nice steady rain; gentle, rolling thunder and long enough to never get repetitive. Five stars!

I love this track. Short of being able to watch the lightning it's certainly one for those who love a good thunderstorm. I certainly do, and my cat notices the realism too because she's terrified of storms and runs away and hides. So if your pet is afraid storms probably best to enjoy this just with headphones.

This track gives me the feeling of settling into a long night of continuous rain bands accompanied by low deep rumbles of thunder, sometimes close by but mostly in the distance. A peaceful and safe type of storm that puts me to sleep in minutes even though I wish I could stay awake longer to listen.

This track is amazing. The rain in the gutters reminds me of sitting on my grandmother's porch in the middle of a storm with a blanket, listening to the storm as it slowly passes overhead, and spotting the occasional bolt of lightning. By far my favorite track to sleep to.

Great track for relaxing. Unlike some of the other thunderstorms, the rolling thunder in this track is soothing and almost soft. The constant rain on the roof and a bit of wind rounds out a fantastic track. I listen to it when I need to wind down for the night. Lovely.

Whenever I need to find a sense of balance and sanity I always come back to this track. Working in a high-stress environment during the day sometimes leaves me a little 'frazzled' around the edges. This track reminds me of home, when I used to live away from a big city and frenetic energy. Tension washes away. This track is very soothing. I could listen to it for hours and hours.

The description nails it. Not under rain category but probably one of the best rain tracks, constant rain that starts soft then picks up, I hear rain that sounds like dripping on a porch and rain falling in wide open space like a country home with a few acres of land, very relaxing, if you like to fall asleep to a soft storm this should be in your catalog. Rolling thunder, soft to medium rain, and open space, just like home back in Texas.

I think this may be my favorite. The rain storm is steady, with just enough water running through the gutters to make you're feel like you're there without overwhelming the rest of the sound scape. I listen to this track at night on noise canceling headphones and it sounds amazing.

Definitely one of my favorite tracks in the catalogue (tied with two others). Sheltered provides the perfect storm in terms of rain intensity and thunder volume. It's a fairly heavy rain, with low rumblings and absent of any loud suddenly strikes. A couple of the thunder rolls are heard as if from above the house, but for the most part this track is a bit lighter of a storm than Odin, a bit stronger than Liquid Sunshine, and adds the comfort that comes from hearing as if from safely at your house. Excelent for reading, sleeping, or just relaxing. It makes me sleepy almost without fail.

This is the first track I purchased and I would say it was more than it's worth. I have listened to this track more than 100 times and I still do every time I read and sometime before bed. I like the camp rain and back home track more but this one has a separate place in my heart.

Reminds me of being a little girl and laying wrapped up in front of the screen door watching the thunderstorms. Very cozy and relaxing.

I go back to my childhood. The sound pulling me outside, I'm on the porch as the thunder moves around me. The coolness of the air as the rain moves thru. Edges of the porch are wet. Safe, warm and alive.

Rain drizzles on a tin roof as the thunder rolls in. The name of this track is apt as it definitely sounds as though you are sheltered from the wind and raindrops. The thunder is long and rolling, and you can notice the storm slowly approaching and moving over and past you as the track goes on. A good addition to any rain collection, especially if you enjoy sleeping to storm sounds.
