Loki

By Naturespace · 22 reviews ·

I love Loki, it’s one of my favorite tracks. I listen to it every night and a lot of times during the day. I love the simple nature sounds of the insects and the distant thunder. It makes me think of my home in Northern Colorado.

Loki has become one of my favorite tracks. The thunder is rumbling without crashes that might be startling. The frogs and crickets

When I first started listening to this track, I thought I'd never fall asleep. But, I was wrong. There is something about the night chorus that lulls one to sleep. The overhead rumbling of thunder is not too distracting if your volume isn't too loud. In between the pauses of thunder, you can hear birds and other animals in the distance. There are brief rain showers that occur which gives you the sense that a storm is coming, but fully not yet upon you. I recommend the entire Thunderstorm or ThunderGod collection. There is something for everyone. Enjoy!

I love this track. I'm a HUGE fan of all of the Thor movies & comics so when I saw that you had this set I HAD to get them. Although I love the Thor & Odin tracks as well. Loki is my favorite, does it have something to do with the fact that I love Loki anyway??? Naaaa, I don't think it could be THAT at all!!! LOL

Is this a nightsounds track or a storm one... I cannot decide. Either way it is perfect - the peeping frogs and the soft distant rumbles of thunder are balanced withe the cycadias and it fills the listening space. There are tracks that do best on headphones and ones that can be used with room speakers - this track makes my bedroom fill with sound and with the subwoofer right under the bed the storm is felt as well as heard! Just a wonderful track all around, well balanced with a storm that isn't so loud as to become the center of attention. Thank you Naturespace!

I adore naturespace. It's one of the only apps I regularly recommend to people that I also recommend spending extra money on, and I do recommend buying the full thundergod series, particularly if you love rain tracks. Having said that--I do not recommend Loki as a singular track. It would be a waste of money, in my opinion. Having listened to it last night exclusively, the loop is noticeably the worst in the series, and much too short. If you'd prefer buying just one track, and not springing for the full thundergod series, I would highly recommend sheltered. Liquid sunshine is great, but it takes forever to start, and I much prefer sheltered over it. Do not let this dismal review of Loki deter you from the thundergod series--it's wonderful (aegir and Thor are my current favorites,)--I just do not recommend Loki as a singular purchase. Hope this helps!

I can't believe I hadn't reviewed Loki yet, since I've had it forever and it remains a favorite that stands its ground even in the face of new tracks. Loki isn't just a rain track so much as a complete environment that just happens to be rainy. Or rain-ish if you prefer, since it alternates between wet dripping leaves and the occasional sprinkle. Thunder is distant and there's a sense of early evening here. There is an abundance of wildlife, but it's all low-key. ;) What made this an instant favorite for me is the frogs, which are I love but are only present in a few tracks. This is so real I can almost smell the damp moss!

This track gets me to sleep in minutes everytime! I just think of being in a dark and dank forest, just as that in any fantasy film, and I drop off like a fly hahaha

★★★★★

This is my go to bedtime track. Beautiful.

I love this one it makes me the rain forest so much

★★★★★

My absolute favorite for sleeping. Thunder, light rain, chirping frogs and crickets, and the occasional owl or crow. Very soothing -

This is my favorite of all the Thundergod tracks to fall asleep to (although Aegir comes in a close second), probably because of the gentle crickets. The thunder is just loud and frequent enough to be interesting without being disturbing, and I thoroughly enjoy the wildlife of somewhat dubious species: "That *sounds* like an owl...but IS it?" Mysterious and somehow comforting at the same time. As always, a virtuoso job done by the engineers at Naturespace.

Listening to Loki track as I type this and it's knocking me out of my seat! Put on some really good headphones and listen to rain, frogs, crickets, birds, and -- especially -- the crazy-deep explosive crack of the rippling thunder. It paints a fantastic sonic picture of a dark forest during a storm. Ah, I just heard an owl hoot from above me to the right. Some finches are peeping far to my left. Crickets at my feet. Boom! Holy sh--! ! The raucous thunder! I love this for the pure aural pleasure it gives me. Soundscapes like this are what make me really appreciate my Grado SR225i headphones! Turn out the lights, put on the cans, close your eyes and float into the multidimensional sounds.

My favorite of the Thundergod series,Odin as a close second. Incredible sound quality and I really like the soft rain, very calming vs the pounding thunder. I listened to this track the whole time I read the book "the hunger games", and since a huge part of that book is in a forest, it's no joke when I say I felt like I was actually there. If you are only going to buy one track, get this.

I absolutely love the crickets in this track! Mixed with thunder its the perfect blend and very soothing to just chill out to.

Loki is the fourth track in the Thundergod series. It is a very unique track, and is a favorite for many. It has almost no rain, with an occasional sprinkle on to the leaves. The environment is a forest bog, with a chorus of frogs and crickets. The thunder is very detailed and articulate. The lack of rain combined with the environmental sounds create a wonderful and magical atmosphere, great for sleeping, studying, reading, or just closing your eyes and getting lost in the scene.

Everytime I my head down Loki comes on

★★★★★

Great sound. I use this frequently to go to sleep. Thunder, frogs, and a bit of rain.

★★★★★

I love listening to thunderstorms and Loki is a great one to listen to. A forest bog with a bunch of frogs calling out, a loud rumble as the clouds break and it begins to rain. Yet it's more than just rain instead the water drips throughs the trees, while the frogs and other animals continue calling. This is a really unique track, and I'd recommened getting it. One thing I should point out is that because the rain rolls in and out this is the only track I've downloaded where I noticed the looping, If you listen to it while getting ready for bed you probrably won't notice it, if you going to use it to relax while reading or mediating you probably will, wasn't a huge deal for me but your mileage may very depending on your use.

Loki is a very interesting track but, unfortunately, it reminds me of Extrasolar Night Rising and seems somewhat unnatural. Maybe it would be helpful to know where on Earth it was recorded :-)

First of all, all of the Thunderstorm tracks are wonderful to listen to. I dig the hollow atmosphere that Loki creates. The sound is so clean that I can smell the rain and feel the weather. Sometimes I let it play while I'm reading, or just let my imagination run wild with it ... until I fall asleep.
