Die Wächter

By Naturespace · 10 reviews ·

Whippoorwills.

This is the most awesome of all of the recordings-compositions. I find the that the narrative description is also beautiful and accurately descriptive. I love the whippoorwills. This will be a lifetime favorite to listen to while I fall to sleep. Thank you—genius.

Beautiful. I listened to the whippoorwills from the 2nd story bedroom window of the country home u grew up in. They soothed me to sleep as a child and I have been waiting years to hear them again. Thank you!!

Having grownup in the Rocky Mountains I love the forest. Although I'm sure this track is not from the forests I'm so familiar with, it takes me back to all those nights that I spent in my forests camping as a child. The calmness of the creek, the sound of the birds & crickets chirping, all of the wonderful night forestry sounds makes this track a must have! I'm in love with it!

Whippoorwills way to fast! (Naturespace comment: They are as fast as they always are, it's not like we sped them up. That is the way they do it.)

I love this peaceful and relaxing track. I imagine I am sleeping in the woods with my window open. It never gets repetitive great purchase!

I have never heard a whippoorwill and knew it anyway, so I didn't have any preconceived notions. I suppose some could find this track annoying because of the persistent calling, but the calls are very lyrical and not jarring. There is also some variety - calls coming in from multiple directions, the owl, and of course crickets and the perfect bit of wind. It sounds like a night time forest teeming with life. I'm a light sleeper and I've found myself falling asleep multiple times now while listening to it. Still it may be best for imagery and meditation since it isn't the typical night track, but more of an active scene that deserves close attention to the details.

I love the sound of Whippoorwills. Their chorus echoes the forest and lulls you into worlds unseen save your imagination. This track may seem annoying to those who are not used to the sound of the Whippoorwill but to me this track takes me back in time to when I was a child. Falling asleep in my bed in our cabin at the lake I was comforted by the sound of the Whippoorwills singing in the woods behind my bedroom window. This is very well done and is my new number one favorite.

Wasn't sure of this at first, the bird calls seemed a bit repetitive and somewhat annoying at night. That being said, I slept on it - literally - and stuffed the headphones in first thing this morning.. As always, the write-up for the track was spot on. The birds hooting away are quite spatial and the echoes in the distance make this track really open up. Not the best to sleep to as, for a nighttime track, there is quite a bit happening. Love the owl is it? in the distance occasionally adding its opinion. This one is very dense and I'm finding new things every time I stop for a few minutes to listen. Tip top recording on this. Thanks for the hard work put in bringing us these delights! Regards, Deb.

I collect old books and found a nice musty copy of the early 1930s Nancy Drew "The Bungalow Mystery." It's a spooky mystery where Nancy helps a young woman get away from a creepy guardian who's also a kidnapper. It takes place in a cabin on a remote lake, lots of darkness, some rainstorms, and dense woods. I find this new track "The Sentinels" is the perfect audio atmosphere for reading this mystery (or probably any mystery set in a remote location). Actually I nodded off in my bed on the lazy weekend afternoon while reading and "The Sentinels" is perfect also for deep relaxation. As with most of these pieces, start with the lowest possible volume to bring about the moody atmospherics possible with this track.
